Mayor Stuart Hamilton and Village Administrator, Larry Leash are making themselves available this Tuesday night (Nov. 30th) to answer questions from the public. There will be no set agenda and this is not a formal council meeting. The atmosphere will be relaxed, allowing for any topic to be brought forward, a clear difference between regular council meetings where public comments must relate to the set agenda. Participants will also be allowed more than 3 minutes to speak.
One group of locals intends to bring up the issue of the new charges for the use of the Community Center. There are some concerns regarding charges being imposed on non-profit organizations. A follow-up meeting on this issue is set for Wed. Dec. 1st at Village Hall, 3-5p.
Mayor Hamilton expects there will be questions and comments on Village finances and roads but hopes people will be open to discussing other issues that are important to them. He noted that there are many thoughtful people here in Angel Fire and he’d like to get their feedback and suggestions for improving Angel Fire.
You are encouraged to attend and let your voice be heard. Your representatives are making an effort to hear what you have to say and answer your questions. If you have concerns, now would be a good time to write them down and come Tuesday night and let the Mayor know!
“If you don’t like something change it.
If you can’t change it, change your attitude.
Don’t complain.”
