Well, Hello Angel Fire! I’m so pleased to be back in the community and for the opportunity to assist the Chamber again!
And, I am fortunate to be able to continue my work with the Tourism Association of New Mexico from my home here. The Internet is an amazing tool that allows us to work from anywhere, and I know many Angel Fire folks do just that.
As you all know, TANM is still my full time job, but I am confident I can dedicate enough time and energy to help take the Chamber forward. I’m counting on all of you to jump in with me.
So for my first call to action to everyone; JOIN THE CHAMBER and please VOLUNTEER!
Individuals can join too!
We really need you, your input your time, and yes, your dues money. I know things are tight for everyone right now, but your investment in your Chamber is an investment in your business community. I plan to visit all of you in person to get re-acquainted or to meet you for the first time. I’d appreciate hearing your ideas on how the Chamber can serve you better and make a difference for our future. Cathy in the office will know my travel schedule, so call if you want to make a special appointment to meet.
We’re looking for volunteers in the office to help with customers, and I’d love to especially boost our summer volunteer base, not only for the office but for events as well. Drop in or call us to discuss how you’d like to be involved.
The Board election is coming up, so if you’d like to serve or nominate someone, please notify the Chamber office by Feb. 24. Four seats are up for election this year. And that means the annual membership meeting is also approaching– probably in mid-May. We’ll get those details to you soon. And don’t forget the annual Best of Angel Fire awards! Those winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting, so start thinking about your favorites.
That’s all for now, let’s get together and get to work!
