6th Annual Fiesta del Sol Spring Break Celebration

Angel Fire Resort’s 6th annual Fiesta del Sol event gets underway Saturday, a week long day celebration combining spring break fun and sporting events at the northern New Mexico ski and snowboard resort. It consists of wild competitions, live entertainment, creative terrain for both boarders and skiers, and themed après-ski parties.

The following is the complete 2011 Fiesta del Sol schedule of events:

Saturday, March 12

• 8:00 am to 9:30 am – USASA Slopestyle in Liberation Park, register in the Village Haus.
• 11:00 am – Face and body art by Kaitlyn in the middle deck area.
• 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm – Coca Cola Base Camp on the second floor of the lodge.
• 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm – Red Bull Buttercup registration on the deck at the ticket office.
• 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm – Live music from the Gordon Free Band in the Village Haus.
• 4:00 pm – Red Bull Buttercup practice at the base of Exhibition, helmet and release required. Music from DJ DC.
• 6:00 pm – Live music from John Hayden Todd at Legends Grill.
• 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm – Live music from Stephanie Hatfield and The Hot Mess in the Village Haus.

Sunday, March 13

• 11:00 am – Face and body art by Kaitlyn in the middle deck area.
• 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm – Coca Cola Base Camp on the second floor of the lodge.
• 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm – Live music from The Rudy Boy Experiment in the Village Haus.

Monday, March 14

• 11:00 am – Face and body art by Kaitlyn in the middle deck area.
• 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm – Coca Cola Base Camp on the second floor of the lodge.
• 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm – Live music from Felix y Los Gatos in the Village Haus.

Tuesday, March 15

• 11:00 am – Face and body art by Kaitlyn in the middle deck area.
• 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm – Coca Cola Base Camp on the second floor of the lodge.
• 1:30 pm – Ping pong tournament at the Coca Cola Base Camp.
• 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm – Bud Light Keg Toss at the base of the Chile Express.
• 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm – Live music from DJ T-Money in the Village Haus.

Wednesday, March 16

• 11:00 am – Face and body art by Kaitlyn in the middle deck area.
• 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm – Coca Cola Base Camp on the second floor of the lodge.
• 1:30 pm – Rock Band competition at the Coca Cola Base Camp.
• 6:00 pm – Open mic night in the Village Haus.

Thursday, March 17

• 11:00 am – Face and body art by Kaitlyn in the middle deck area.
• 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm – Coca Cola Base Camp on the second floor of the lodge.
• 7:00 pm – St. Patrick’s Dat Celebration in the Village Haus. Live music by DJ T-Money. Green beer specials to those wearing green or dressed as a leprechaun. Drawing for a Ride Snowboard and bindings sponsored by Rip Tank Boardshop. Must be present to win, drawing will be at last call.

Friday, March 18

• 10:00 am – Secret Stash Scavenger Hunt, signup in the resort tent by the Chile Express.
• 11:00 am – Face and body art by Kaitlyn in the middle deck area.
• 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm – Coca Cola Base Camp on the second floor of the lodge.
• 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm – Live music from Richard Koch at Elements.
• 6:00 pm – Live music from John Hayden Todd at Legends Grill.
• 6:00 pm – Friday Night Lights Rail Jam at the terrain parks at the bottom of Exhibition. Practice 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, competition 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Free for everyone.

Saturday, March 19
