Los Rios River Runners Says, “I Know Jo”, Do You?

We are happy to have as our featured “I Know Jo” business of the week Los Rios River Runners, Angel Fire Chamber members since 2006. Owner Cisco Guevara invited us to an afternoon experience that we will not soon forget! On Tuesday Sharon, Cathy, & I embarked on an exhilarating whitewater raft trip on the Rio Grande. We rode the Race Course that consists of nine level 2 and 3 rapids, three of which are upgraded to level 4 in high water. For starters, Los Rios River Runners guides are keenly educated on safety. Emergency procedures were fully explained prior to loading the rafts. We were given paddles, fitted into life jackets, and offered optional helmets.

At first I was a little anxious because my nine-year-old grandson from Texas was able to join us on the trip. But our rafting guide Bruce Graff quickly made me feel at ease. His skills and knowledge, based on 23 years of experience helped to make our trip a one in a million lifetime experience! He made the comment of how blessed he felt to be included in so many people’s vacations.
