RE/Max Bella Tierra of Angel Fire
This week the team at RE/MAX Bella Tierra invited me to be their guest at their annual appreciation cook-out. Owners Mike and Rita Larson were slaving over the grill, serving up the goodies. As I walked around and talked with the multitudes of people enjoying this warm hospitality, each one had rave reviews of why they are loyal clients and friends of each of the 11 agents and brokers at RE/MAX Bella Tierra. Most said they come to this event every year.
After the generous lunch, the team scattered to various properties for open houses. I was given a map, went to get my sister, and headed out for a tour. We visited with the homeowner, John, at one of the houses listed. His log cabin on the golf course is featured in the photos below. It has been completely re-modeled, has 3000 sq. ft of living space and another room with full bath added over the garage. It was so much fun to see these beautiful homes. Mike and Rita started coming to Angel Fire and Red River in the early 1970’s. They always dreamed of living in this area full time. In 2002, their good friends, Bill and Carolyn Granger called to say they would be retiring the following year and asked the Larson’s if they were interested in buying their Real Estate and Home Care Business. So Mike & Rita decided to make their dream a reality, leave the hustle and bustle of Dallas/Fort Worth and move here permanently in 2003. Then in 2006 they purchased the RE/MAX franchise becoming RE/MAX Mountain Realty. Two years later they merged with Bella Tierra of Angel Fire and became RE/MAX Bella Tierra. Having grown from 2 agents at that time to the current 11 agents, they tell me they are now the largest real estate agency in Angel Fire with approximately 250 active listings.
