Our featured I Know Jo business of the week is C and C Flooring and Construction of Angel Fire.
Craig Vanderlei and Chase Castillo make up the “C and C” of C and C of Angel Fire. Having been friends for years while playing on the same baseball team, they “threw” around the idea of a partnership. Both of them had built good reputations in Angel Fire for the work they did individually. It made sense for them to come together with their expertise so as to offer their whole gamut of services together as one business. So in January, 2010, C and C of Angel Fire opened its doors. They offer sales, installation, and service on flooring of all kinds; wood, tile, or carpet. But that is only half of all the jobs they perform. With 15 full time employees, each bringing their own set of skills and knowledge, C and C of Angel Fire is a one stop shop, so to speak, for remodeling and construction. They offer rockwork, painting, staining, and roofing. Plus not only will they oil your deck, they will build you a deck. Craig told me its more cost efficient to do the work themselves than to contract it out.
The employees I was privileged to meet as they prepared for or did their work, were quick to say that Craig and Chase owners and Theresa and Ashley who run the office, treated them with great respect. I spoke with Ralph Ramos while he installed carpet on a job. He told me that these guys were great people. He said they’d even do his grocery shopping if he needed them to! That to me says a lot.
Chase and his wife Theresa moved to Angel Fire from Deming NM in 1999. They now have 2 daughters. Craig brought his family, wife Tina and their 4 children to Angel Fire from California 8 yrs. ago. Both Craig and Chase stress the importance of family. They saw the beauty and the opportunity in the Moreno Valley and they intend to raise their children as permanent residents of Angel Fire.
