This week’s featured I Know Jo business of the week is Mountain Reservations at the Angel Fire Resort.
Did you know that the Resort has a brand new department whose sole purpose is to set reservations for any and all of the activities on the ski slopes? It starting last year with a bang and had huge success. The Resort decided to split the reservations department into two totally separate functioning entities. Lodging and room reservations remain in the main lodge, but beginning on Nov. 1st of each year, the reservations for Children’s Ski & Snowboard School, Adult Ski & Snowboard Lessons, and all rentals for Slopeside Sports are now generated out of the office of Mountain Reservations. Under the leadership of Robin May, Ski & Snowboard School Director, this department hits the ground running and the phone lines are open.
This year Pam Dragoo has moved into the manager position of Mountain Reservations. She has hired a crew of six vacation planning customer service experts that include; Debbie Hedgepeth, who has been with the Angel Fire Resort for 3 years, Anna Roth, who celebrates her 1 year anniversary in Dec. and new employees Jamee Simmons, Brenda Perez, Julie Mannon, and Jordyn Bauler. They are located on the middle deck at the base of the mountain under the sign “Reservation Pick-up”.
The Mountain Reservations Department not only sets up the reservations that generate the bulk of the winter season revenue for the Resort, they also print all of the paperwork and lift tickets that are attached to each one of these reservations. They are educated in all details of each class and rental offered so that they are able to personalize and meet the needs of each of their guests. Their main goal is to help provide these guests with a stress free enjoyable vacation stay in Angel Fire. They handle all online reservations as well. They package and organize all of their paperwork and lift tickets and deliver to each of the departments on the mountain on a daily basis throughout the entire ski season. And they print lift tickets and packages for the majority of all the other departments in the Resort. Plus they operate 2 call windows where the guests of the Resort can pick up their reserved lift tickets and lesson coupons without having to stand in another line.
Wow, did you know all that? Hats off to these ladies! If you need to reserve your spot for this season whether it be rentals, private lessons or getting that grandchild in children’s ski & snowboard school, give them a call. The sooner the better because those slots fill up fast!
