This week I’d like to introduce you to the newest member of our team here at the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce. Mari Lindsey has joined us as Administrative Assistant.
Mari Lindsey began working at the Chamber in April on a job share program with another employee. She worked approximately six days per month. Her computer skills, her friendly joyful attitude and her ability to pre-think what needs to be done before she is asked, quickly gained her a promotion to Administrative Assistant. She holds a BS in Elementary Education from Antenor Orrego Private University, Trujillo, Peru, where she graduated as Salutatorian with honors.
Prior to moving permanently to the United States, Mari worked as a principle classroom teacher in Cajamarca, Peru as well as a private tutor and the Assistant Manager of Krea Jewelry Store where she was responsible for accounting, inventory and advertising. Mari first came to Angel Fire on an International Work and Travel Program in 2008. She spent the season working as a lift operator for the Angel Fire Resort. There she met and fell in love with Brian Lindsey. She returned to Peru to finish her education and work for the next three years. In May 2011, Mari left country, family, and friends to become Brian’s wife. Currently she continues her education at UNM Taos studying English as a second language. When I think about the excellent work she does, it amazes me that she does it all in a second language!
