Discover Angel Fire Central Reservation referral service has been in business since 1996. Seven years ago, Micki Wedel took the helm.
This very personalized service is akin to an Angel Fire travel agency. They work with a large pool of rental units for vacation travelers. They have access to almost 300 properties in Angel Fire and Eagle Nest. They offer condos, cabins, and premium chalets. Working closely with other property management companies, as well as individual home owners, the ladies at Discover Angel Fire Central Reservations communicate one-on-one with callers. They question and listen attentively to each separate caller, then strive to match each guest, family and group with the lodging best suited to meet their vacation needs. And there is no extra charge to guests for this service.
Micki has been in the hospitality business since she was 16 years old. Growing up, her parents owned a truck stop in the mid-west. Because of her background, she has always chosen employment in customer service based businesses. As an adult Micki lived in the San Luis Valley of Colorado before moving back to the mid-west. But her love for the mountains remained. Eleven years ago she made the decision to permanently move back and Eagle Nest became her home. When the opportunity for her to buy in at Discover Angel Fire arose, it was a natural fit. She told me that Nadine, a prior owner, had molded the business into a very personalized experience for their guests and she continues using that same business model. When you call Discover Angel Fire, you will always speak to a person, not a machine. Their main goal is to provide hassle free vacations for their guests. They also work with two of the local ski and snowboard rental businesses offering discounts on equipment rentals.You can reserve your rentals at the same time you book lodging.
Laura, who works full time for Micki, says they met when she was running the Eagle Nest Chamber of Commerce. Micki was a willing volunteer. She also told me that Micki’s devotion to buying and promoting local businesses was inspirational to those around her. She not only talks the talk, she walks the walk!
