SHOP LOCAL SHOP SMALL
We want to thank everyone who is participating in our December Shop Local Shop Small Program. Hopefully is has brought an awareness of our goal at the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce to encourage you to Shop Local. Continue to spend at least $50.00 at any local business then bring your receipts into the Chamber office for eligibility in one of two drawings. The drawings will take place this Wednesday, New Year’s Eve, at 11:00 am. Look for the winners to be announced on our Facebook page and in next week’s Chamber eBlast Newsletter. But please don’t stop shopping local because the contest ends!
When we support our local businesses, we support ourselves. Shopping local enhances our economic well-being and supports our tax base. Yes, tourism benefits all of us bringing in the valued out of area financial boost, but locals shopping local, eating local, using local services and enjoying the recreational benefits of our valley, helps build the distinct character of our awesome alpine village. And added together, our small independently owned local businesses are the largest employer in our village. They provide the most jobs to our residents and they are the livelihood of our existence. Thank you for supporting them all!
We include many businesses in the entire Enchanted Circle as ‘local’, as we have many loyal Chamber members in Eagle Nest, Red River, Taos, Cimarron, and Mora. I suggest you visit www.angelfirechamber.org for the complete list.
This season and throughout the New Year, shop local first. Support our non-profit organizations and invest in our community. Think Local, Buy Local, Be Local.
Thank you,
Jo Mixon, Executive Director
Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce
