As my year as Chamber president draws to an end, I want to say thanks: thanks to my fellow board members who worked hard to ensure our mission of helping our Chamber members was met and thanks to all our Chamber members. It is this team of business owners and individuals who really do the day to day heavy lifting of keeping the economy going here in Angel Fire. This past year, the Chamber’s Business After Hours continued to be a great avenue for networking and fun. The Weekly Blast kept members apprised of community events, Chamber happenings and as a resource for exposure via the I Know Jo articles. The board, in our monthly meetings, brain-stormed ideas to not only generate revenue for the Chamber, but to also try to create events that would bring “heads-in-beds.” Our work will continue in that direction as a new board is seated next month. I have enjoyed my year as president and look forward to the exciting possibilities that lie ahead for the Chamber, our members and the Village.
