I am so excited to be a part of this inaugural event in Angel Fire. As a member of the Village of Angel Fire Sustainability Committee, I’d like to stress that the members of this committee work extremely hard behind the scenes to promote and educate sustainability as a lifestyle! Not only do we promote recycling but we educate about options and ways to keep Angel Fire and our majestic mountain home a healthy beautiful place to live, play and visit. The goal that it remains pristine far into the future!
We decided to have fun with it. Turn your toss out items into works of art! Think outside of the box. Recycle anything. What will you create and donate? An awesome yard-art sculpture, a planter, a fountain, a garden bench, a chandelier? Will you use tin, metal, old crates, bottles, keys, tools, car parts, or assorted old objects? Maybe material or clothing you thought were rags? Shoes, lamps, what about unusable sinks or toilets? (Don’t forget to disinfect first…hehehe!)
Anything destined for the dump is fair game for you to turn into a thing of beauty! Thank you ahead of time. Now get creative, and we also need everyone to bid and buy a one-of-a-kind unique masterpiece at the auction! Hope to see you there!
When: June 13, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: 3375 Mountain View Blvd, Angel Fire, NM 87710
Be a part of the first Spare Part Art fundraiser and art silent auction.
Recycling old junk not only benefits the environment, it breathes new life into old objects that were once destined for the landfill. Roll up your sleeves and make one person’s trash into another person’s treasure. Everyone is invited to enter a piece of recycled art. Everyone is invited to purchase a piece of artwork! Participate in this unique art auction while listening to live music. Proceeds benefit the Village of Angel Fire Sustainability Committee, The Moreno Valley Arts Council and the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce.
