Last week the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce proudly welcomed twenty-five Chamber Executives from all over the state of New Mexico. Many brought their spouses. These executives, who represent thousands and thousands of businesses, came to Angel Fire for a three day work conference. Lecturers included internationally known Chamber author, speaker, consultant, and founder of the Chamber Professionals Community – Frank J. Kenny, social media and digital marketing expert in the Chamber of Commerce industry – Norma Davey, Director of the Southwest/South Central Region for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – John Gonzales, President/CEO of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce – Terri Cole, Director of the Albuquerque Reads Program – Alan LaSeck and from the Angel Fire Police Department – Lieutenant J.D. Harvey.
Many of these chamber leaders had never been to Angel Fire. We wanted them to experience our beautiful valley, so I set up various activities for them. Some came in early to golf and zip-line. Others stayed over an extra night to fish. They all toured the Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park, led by Mayor Pro-Tem Chuck Howe.
They all complimented Angel Fire. The views, the food, the friendly people, and the activities. Actually they all said they intend to return!
