In 2015, Chris flew to Taos to look into a broadcasting company that included six radio stations. He was impressed with the innovative technology used and the advances made by the previous owner and was instantly excited. Lori, his wife, flew in the next day. Chris says they simply fell in love with the town and people of Taos and the beauty of the mountains. (They are skiers, so that was really a plus!) The rest is history!
Their goal was to continue to provide quality broadcasting in the Northern New Mexico area. They did make one change. Chris said, being christians, they felt led to move the AM 1340 station to a Christian Music station. It is now the fastest growing station in the community.
Chris has been in the broadcasting field for over 27 years. He had always dreamed of owning a radio station. After spending 15 years in radio and 10 years in television, upon the urging of his wife, he finally acted upon that dream. He said, “Without Lori, none of this would be possible. She is the reason! She is my guiding light and my confidant.” He also wanted me to know how very proud he is of their three children. In fact, LMNOC Broadcasting, is a family name. The L is for Lori, wife and business partner, the C is for Chris, husband and business partner and the three letters in the middle are for their three children Meagan, Nathan and Olivia.
Chris believes in purpose. He looks at the needs of the community and focuses on where he can help. He likes being part of a community that treats you like family. They also own and operate LMNOC Media Group, agency in Houston Texas.
