Angel Fire ArtsFest began last Friday night with “Dress Up for Art Up” Premier Night at the Angel Fire Community Center. The evening included a dinner buffet, cash bar, live entertainment and the opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists. Winners of the juried show were also announced. The winners are:

The show continued Saturday and Sunday with over 900 people coming through the doors to enjoy and purchase quality artworks, from 36 highly talented artists. ArtsFest, in it’s 36th year, is sponsored by Art Up Northern New Mexico. it is free to the public. many of the artists donated to a Mystery Auction. Proceeds from the auction will go to help fund Missoula Children’s Theater 2018.
Art Up Northern New Mexico wants to say THANK YOU to all of the volunteer hours that went into making this event a success! Thank you Jo Mixon, Johnese & Michael Turri, Jacqui Binford-Bell, Bob Bear, Julia Margaret Brigham, Mary Harms, Diane Peterson, Wende Woolley, Chris Love, Dominic Serna and his crew from H2, Daniel Serna, Whitney Brewer, Sam Macias and his crew from Zebs, Connie Hill, Paul Figuero and Helen, Janet Sailor, Jimmy Linton, the Breakfast and Lunch crew from Holy Angels Catholic Church, the artists, and the staff at the Community Center.
Special thanks to the youth from Christ our Savior Lutheran Church (who came in from Humboldt, Kansas and Wichita Falls, Texas) sent to help all of the artists load up after the show on Sunday. These kids went above and beyond their duties for Art Up NNM and even mopped the bathrooms and kitchen, moved the foosball tables, swept and vacuumed the community center and put every table, chair, and panel in its place!
