Barista – Haliegh Campbell, Jo Mixon – Angel Fire Chamber President & CEO and The Bump Coffee owner Lisa Sutton
What goes better together than coffee and ice-cream? Coffee and ice-cream and free wi-fi!
You will find all three of these plus much more in Angel Fire’s local lovin’ coffee shop, The Bump Coffee, 3375 Mountain View Blvd. Ste D. Adjacent to Coldwell Banker, Headin’ Home Realty in Angel Fire, NM.
The Bump Coffee has just added a new ice-cream machine they purchased from New Zealand, Trendy Blends. (Betcha’ can guess whose idea it was… hint is New Zealand!)
It is similar to a blizzard and not much different than a stone-cold soft serve. The fun part is that you get to pick whatever you want to go in it. You may choose from several options of fruits, sweets and flavorings with multiple toppings. Today I chose vanilla ice-cream and fresh strawberries… YUM! It was delicious. You must go try one for yourself!
Lisa Sutton decided to open The Bump Coffee last December when Hatchas Cafe, next door, decided they did not want to be a coffee shop. Lisa knew Angel Fire locals and guests really love (and need) all things coffee, so she purchased Hatchas’ espresso machine and remodeled a portion of her business, turning it into The Bump Coffee. It is a full range coffee shop, serving local coffees from Black Lake Coffee Roasters. They also serve fresh pastries, handmade by Jeanette Sanchez, waffles, lox and bagels and other items to satisfy your sweet tooth. Plus, manager Corrina Hodge, is stocking shelves with locally made arts and crafts from some of the artists she worked with in her store Hodge Podge Box.
The Bump Coffee is open daily from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. During the Cool Summer Night Concert Series, they remain open on Friday’s until 6:00 pm, and they set up a booth from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Art & Farmer’s Market in Frontier Park on Sundays. The plan is to schedule a few more “Dessert Nights with Live Music on the Patio”, staying open until 8:00 pm, weather permitting, throughout the summer. And watch for more fun “Loving the Locals” discounts during the slower months of the year. Like and follow their Facebook page to keep up with local discounts. Drop by today or everyday for your coffee and ice-cream cravings or just to sit and enjoy a book and/or surf the internet utilizing their free wi-fi.
Want to be a part of this fun local loving team? The Bump Coffee is now hiring. See Corrina Hodge for more information.
