In December of 2013, a Craig’s List advertisement surfaced regarding a vacation rental located at 46 Mammoth Mountain Road. Victims of the advertisement arrived in Angel Fire for vacation only to find that this address and rental does not exist. The criminal investigation was suspended due to a lack of suspect leads.
Today, I received information from a citizen who reports that the advertisement is once again active and it lists the very same address as open for vacation rental. Once again, 46 Mammoth Mountain Road does not exist. Therefore, we want to let everyone know of this “scam” so please share the information.
Should anyone receive new information, regarding this scam, please contact me immediately as I am the lead investigator for this incident.
