Winter Sleigh Ride Tours
As long as there is ample snowfall along trails, our winter sleigh rides begin at the Elkhorn Lodge and travel along the foothills of the forest and throughout the Angel Fire Resort area. We stop for photo-ops and snow play. Our guests frequently see deer, elk, bunny rabbits, and other wildlife, and it’s not uncommon to see hawks or a Golden or Bald Eagle. We invite our guests to enjoy hot chocolate, beverages and cookies with us at the Elkhorn Lodge before and after our excursions. Breakfast, lunch or dinners can be arranged for your group by request. Private tours can also be arranged. Tours typically last just under an hour.
Wagon Tours
Wagon tours are a great year-round activity for family reunions and large groups. Horse-drawn wagon rides are given along country and back roads throughout the Village of Angel Fire and the Country Club area. Guides will highlight points-of-interest, plant and wildlife, and history. Picnic lunches or dinners can be arranged at your request. Tours typically last just under an hour.
A wagon ride for your child’s birthday party would be an activity that they’d never forget. Celebrate with cake and pony rides by hosting your party at our cafe or cabin aftewards.
