Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce Membership, Residents and Guests:
We want to share with you that the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce offices will be implementing additional protective measures for our staff, our board of directors, our families and the community to further mitigate potential spread of the virus. We believe it is our social responsibility to also help limit community spread.
The Chamber office will be closed to the public, effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice. We will be available by phone and social media and will be emailing our membership with contact phone numbers to call for individual appointments for their business flyers to be printed, copies, faxes, etc.
You may still drop UPS Ground and FedEx Ground packages in the foyer to be picked up. Do not leave FedEx Express, UPS Express or USPS packages as they will not be picked up. These agencies do not pick up at our location. USPS packages go to the Post Office.
And we will be leaving our front public foyer open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience. The foyer is filled with member business and recreation flyers that are free for you to take. We will be turning the bulletin board, in the front foyer, into an information board. On the board will be updates for restaurants and businesses. There will be a place where people may post services offered to help one another during this closure and a section we will update with factual information from the Village Public Information Officer, Chief John Murtagh, the Governor’s office and other state agencies. This information will also be posted regularly on our Face Book page. Please note that the foyer area will be cleaned on a daily bases. (We trust that you will also act responsibly and help us minimize the spread of germs.)
Also during this time, the Chamber Board has agreed that we should send an information Chamber eBlast every few days, not just on Mondays. The ads placed in our newly formed temporary blast format will remain only for our Chamber members, but all public service announcements and information on all of our area businesses will be welcomed and included. We believe joining together as a community at this time, is the right thing to do and we believe our member businesses will agree. We would like to be able to keep the community updated on restaurant hours and whether you offer take out, delivery, etc. The same for businesses, the clinic, churches, school updates, Food4Kids locations and times, cancellations or meetings, if you are offering services such as pick up and delivery to people who may be self isolated or cannot go to the store, etc. etc. etc.
We will also include updated releases from the NMHealth Department, the Governors office, and other agencies with pertinent information such as unemployment and disaster relief programs as they come in.
If you have information you would like to be included in these blast updates, please send them to manager@angelfirechamber.org.
FYI – We cannot accept PDF documents for the blasts.
Thank you and stay healthy,
The Staff and Board of Directors of the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce
