Due to unforeseen technical difficulties the link for Self-Employed Stimulus Payment (SESP) has been temporarily removed from the department website. Application to one-time $750 stimulus payment temporarily suspended. Individuals who were in the middle of the application will be able to resume their application when the link becomes available, www.jobs.state.nm.us.
If an individual was in the middle of their application, once the link is reposted, their application should be in “pending status” and they will be able to continue where they left off and submit. SESP does not impact an individual’s eligibility for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA). If an individual is unable to apply for SESP or did not receive an approval, they may still apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) when it becomes available later this month.
The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions is working diligently to prepare our system to provide PUA to the self-employed, independent contractors, and gig economy workers as soon as possible.
