State Economic Recovery Plan begins Phased in Re-Opening

In Angel Fire, we are committed to reopen in a safe and gradual manner. Our businesses are taking this very serious as they begin to implement individual Plans of Safety that will be put into action during the New Mexico Public Health order. We want everyone in Angel Fire to feel safe. The state has initiated a phased in plan to ease public health restrictions with the economic reopening of New Mexico. We are still under a Stay at Home Order, but reopening certain aspects of the business sector are now possible.
The Angel Fire Chamber along with the Village of Angel Fire has put together a Recovery Task Force. Last week a survey was sent out to Angel Fire businesses addressing COVID-19 concerns. It asked very straight forward questions on the toll this shut-down has taken on their ability or lack of ability to earn a living and/or keep their businesses from filing bankruptcy. Then we followed up earlier this week, with an open discussion webinar. It was attended by owners and representatives of 35 Angel Fire businesses. The discussion included the answers to the survey as well as the Governor’s Phased In Re-opening Plans and their ability to follow guidelines, be responsible and re-open offering a safe environment. We asked each business to write out and turn in an individual Plan of Action Policy. We are now preparing a summarized Plan to send to the Governor.
Below is a “tentative” list of how these phases might take place. Keep in mind, we are told these documents can & will change weekly depending upon COVID-19 data from the state.
