Voter Registration
The Voter Registration Books close Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at 5:30 pm for the November 3, 2020 General Election. Anyone who is NOT presently registered and wishes to vote in this election may register at NMvote.org or at the County Clerk’s Office, Courthouse, Raton, New Mexico. The office hours are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. You may also register at any Municipal Office. AGAIN, IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION YOU MUST BE REGISTERED BY OCTOBER 6, 2020.
Absentee Voting
Anyone wishing to ABSENTEE VOTE In-Person for the November 3, 2020 GENERAL ELECTION may do so beginning October 6, 2020. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Anyone desiring to vote by mail may request an application at NMvote.org or from the County Clerk’s Office 575-445-5551. Every Registered Voter will be mailed an Absentee Application on September 14, 2020. If you have moved and need to update, your address, please call the Clerk’s Office. The last day for the County Clerk to receive your application for an absentee ballot is Tuesday, October 20, 2020. The last day to vote in person is Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
