According to the numbers released by the New Mexico Secretary of State’s office 19,945 voters have already cast ballots in New Mexico. both in-person and by returned absentee ballots. Of those who have cast ballots statewide in 2020, 46.89% are Democrats, 42% are Republicans, 10.21% are Decline to State (Independents) and 0.9% are Libertarians or members of minor parties.
As of October 7, 2020, 334,672 voters have requested absentee ballots from their county clerks, 62% of them are Democrats.
The state record, set in 2008, for voter turn out in the New Mexico general election is 833,365 voters.
Early voting is now in available at the County Clerks office in Raton, NM for Colfax County registered voters thru October 31, 2020. Expanded early voting locations will begin on October 17, 2020.
The Colfax County Mobile Voting Unit will be at the following locations, dates and times:

- October 17, 2020 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Angel Fire Community Center
- October 19, 2020 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Eagle Nest Community Center
- October 22, 2020 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Cimarron Village Hall
- October 23, 2020 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at LUNA Community College Springer
- October 27, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Maxwell School Auditorium
