When: Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am
Where: VIRTUAL
Cost: Members: $10, Nonmembers: $20
New Mexico and the nation are at a turning point. The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed many strategic economic vulnerabilities for our country and for New Mexico. With over 40% of New Mexico’s state budget tied to the oil and gas industry, and a limited number of economic based jobs, New Mexico must take concrete steps to recover as well as grow and diversify our economy for the future.
Join us for NMACI Legislative FOCUS, our semi-annual membership meeting where we will unveil NMACI’s Economic Strategic Action Plan. Based on surveys, focus groups and state by state sector-based analysis, Sayuri Yamada, NMACI’s economic strategy working group chair, Rob Black, NMACI President and CEO, and Ted Abernathy, founder and CEO of Economic Leadership and consultant on the strategy, will present NMACI’s Economic Strategic Action Plan for New Mexico, laying the groundwork for NMACI 2021 legislative priorities.
In addition to the report, NMACI membership will review, discuss and vote to approve our draft policy priorities for the 2021 legislative session.
Please join us for this important event focused on New Mexico’s future.
