2020 was extremely challenging. It had plenty of obstacles, roadblocks, opportunities, and a few successes. At the Chamber we have thoughts and plans for much better days ahead in this new year. The corona virus is still here, so we will move cautiously.
The Chamber board and I want you to know, as we move forward into 2021, we’d like to reconnect on every level possible. For all of us to stay in business, we need each other more than ever. With high hopes, we will plan our year of events and meetings to begin in late May, unless we are told otherwise by the governor.
Starting with Business after Hours, we hope to have a full schedule for 2021 and are excited to see you again! We may not be able to stage The Summer Adventures of the Traveling Chamber Chair (for obvious reasons) but we’ll get creative adding new adventures and continuing others. We really missed the 12 Days of Christmas! There may be safe guidelines we will be expected to follow depending upon whether the Public Health Orders are still in effect. The Chamber is New Mexico Safe Certified and safety will be our #1 concern. Looking forward we are extremely hopeful that New Mexico will soon be allowed to go on with business.
Let’s keep looking forward in the windshield toward 2021, and not in the rear-view mirror where 2020 resides. It’s a much better view!
