As questions arise this year as they do each year, “What do we do with our natural Christmas Tree when we are ready to dispose of it?” The answer is simple, Angel Fire Residents and guests of Angel Fire property may take their natural Christmas Trees to the Transfer Station located at 55 Camino Grande for free disposal.
This service is part of the Wildfire Protection Fee utilized for slash disposal. Please do not place your Christmas Trees in dumpsters, on the right of way, or leave it at the Halo Pines Recycle Park; all of these actions constitute illegal dumping and you could be cited for doing so. Personnel at the Transfer Station will assist you in removing your tree from your vehicle and placing it in the proper area. Taking them to the Transfer Station will keep the town and facilities looking clean and beautiful during this holiday season, thank you for your cooperation.
The Transfer Station will be open on New Year’s Eve from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. It will be closed on New Year’s Day and open on Saturday, January 2, from 8:00AM to 12:00PM and closed on Sunday. It will resume regular operating hours on January 4, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Please note, our packer trucks will be emptying dumpsters, to include those in the Halo Pines Recycle Park, twice on New Year’s Eve with no pickups on New Year’s Day. They will resume pickups with two pickups on Saturday and another on Sunday in order to keep the Village looking nice on this busy weekend. We kindly ask you to plan accordingly.
