Yesterday, the Village of Angel Fire, in partnership with the Department of Health and Colfax County held our first Covid-19 vaccination clinic at our Community Center.
The event was an overwhelming success! NM DOH sent out appointments with confirmation codes to 300 eligible individuals who had pre-registered through the Department of Health website. All 300 showed up for their appointments and were able to receive their initial vaccine. This event specifically targeted registrants who met the 1-A and 1-B criteria within our region.
Yesterday’s event will mark the first of many vaccination clinics planned to be held in Angel Fire. Additional information regarding these events will be released in the coming weeks. We’d also like to express our sincere gratitude to the 25+ volunteers and employees who helped make this event a success.
The danger of Covid-19 is quite real, and will be with us for some time. Accordingly, the Village of Angel Fire is making both short -term and long-term plans to continue to educate, assist with the DOH registration process, along with scheduling and promotion of more vaccination clinics in the coming months to do our best for the residents of our community.
Regards,
