Revisions to COVID-Safe Practices
The Economic Recovery Council released updates to the COVID-Safe Practices required for businesses in New Mexico. Please review the updates below.
Overview of Revisions – Read Carefully as They May Impact Your Business
Mask No longer required in the Workplace by those fully vaccinated: Honor System Applies – A new exemption per the Public Health Order, “fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a mask unless otherwise recommended by the latest official guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”. This includes employees, customers and other visitors in the workplace.
Cleaning Protocol – Businesses no longer are required to clean and disinfect high-touch items every 2 hours. Businesses may return to your normal cleaning and disinfecting routine.
Buffets and Self-Service Are NOW Allowed – Service stations such as common utensils, common dispensers, salad bars, buffets, beverage/coffee stations, and self-serve refreshments are no longer prohibited.
Room Service for Hotels and Lodging – Hotels do not have to leave room service food carts at guests doors. Previous room service protocol may be resumed.
Changes to Gym CSPs – Locker room may open and are showers allowed to be used. Previous protocol may be resumed.
