Mountain View Blvd. is the legal name for Hwy 434 in the Angel Fire Village limits and it is the main highway through Angel Fire. But it does not belong to the Village of Angel Fire, it belongs to the state of New Mexico. The state maintains this road, plows it in the winter and decides when and how to repair it. All of the work done is by NMDOT, not the Village. The state does not allow the Village’s input as to when they resurface, re paint or do other maintenance. Many people complain about the short wait during their roadwork. Please be patient when roadwork occurs. Angel Fire will benefit in the long run.
The legal name for North Angel Fire Rd is Bill Burgess Blvd. As locals, we still call it North Angel Fire Rd, although the street signs changed a few years ago, most maps haven’t yet, but our guests and new residents know it only as Bill Burgess Blvd.
