The Rotary Club of Angel Fire is hosting the leadership team of The Sangre de Cristo Mountain Initiative (SDCMI – www.sdcmi.org) for an area-wide presentation. You are invited to attend!
When: Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm
Where: New Mexico Bank and Trust in Angel Fire
Leading the meeting will be Michael Sussman, founder of On Track North America (OTNA), who is bringing to our region the facilitation methodology OTNA has used to achieve community alignment for 40 infrastructure projects in 32 states.
SDCMI is developing an integrated forest recovery approach for communities impacted by the recent Hermits Peak – Calf Canyon fires. The SDCMI team is working with folks in conservation, rural development, business, and a wide array of local, state, and federal agencies to collaborate on this effort.
The 18-24-month clock that started with the fires of May 2022 is ticking on the decaying trees in the burned forest stands. This effort must move fast to treat unburned forests to preserve their long-term vitality while mitigating future fire threats.
Due to limited seating available, please email Mike Overby at mike.overby@expresspros.com if you plan on attending. A $10 lunch will be available at 12:30 pm for those interested in continuing this discussion – email your desire to have lunch.
We look forward to seeing you at the Angel Fire meeting on January 11, 2023.
