Did you know 2024 is a leap year?
A leap year is a calendar year that contains an additional day compared to a common year. The 366th day is added to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical year or seasonal year. The last leap year was 2020. Typically, February has only 28 days. Our shortest month gets a day longer in 2024, as it does every four years for leap year. February 29 helps our calendars catch up with Earth’s rotation around the sun!
